Send us your stories & essays! (Portal closes in ~24 hours)
"What matters in life is not what happens to you but what you remember and how you remember it." | Open Submission Call #2
Hello fellow strange pilgrims,
We wish Gabo a very happy 99th birthday and welcome all of you to send us your stories, essays, and flash pieces starting right now! Though the official reading period closes at midnight tonight (est), we will have a grace period of several hours for those in a different timezone. Still, if you’ve got a piece even somewhat ready, we encourage you to send it in sooner than later because this is a lightning-fast open call.
If you’re looking for some inspiration + submission tips, check out:
As you know, we’ve vowed to keep general submissions free for everyone and we always pay our published writers. One of the ways we can ensure we’ll stick around as an indie, ad-free lit mag are paid subscriptions. If you’ve got the means to do so, please consider upgrading. Among other things, subscribers can access year-round free submissions!
With gratitude,

That's in just over two hours!
