The illustration for this article clearly references a book I read of a young woman who felt called to sculpt a mountain to look like a reclining female, intentionally visible from an interstate.
I don't recall the title. Can anyone help me with that?
This sounds wonderful! I’ve been in book clubs before but always long for an opportunity to read and discuss more closely for craft. I’m in another writing class that night but will try to snag the next opening!
Just saw this, how very cool. I'm in a yearly close reading workshop where we meet monthly (for 4 hours on a Saturday!) and discuss two essays each month, one memoir and one fiction, as well as at least one short book, for craft purposes. It's facilitated by a college professor and is somewhat intimidating but def worthwhile. I'll probably attend this one in parallel and from afar as too much on my literary plate right now but thanks so much for hosting. You guys are really doing some amazing shit.

Oooh would love to know it also!
I would so so love to be part of this but I’m in Rome and it will be 1 AM here. Wonderful initiative!
We'll definitely do alternate times 💙
Would love to participate, but it's midnight in England and I do need to sleep. Are you considering varying your timings?
Yes, we'll host some different times as we do more!
Trying to join as paid but your site is not accepting my card.
Hey Tod, can you email me here and we can try help you out: shannan@strangepilgrims.com
Just adding to the voices requesting you to vary the time, as 7pm EST is too late in Europe
Noted! We shall 💙
I love this idea so much! Won't be able to attend the first one, but definitely want to pop in for the next one <3
Will love to have you anytime Maria!
I love this idea! Can’t make this one, but hoping you keep it going would love to join next time.
Thank Shahrzad, would love to have you when you can make it :)
I love this idea. Will you send another invite out next month for those who cannot attend this session?
Yep will do Maggie! 💙
I'd love to join but I'm in Australia and I'll be just starting work when the session runs. It sounds amazing.
We'll do alternate times soon Tif 💙

Thank you Amanda! We'd love to have you whenever you can make it 💙
Nothing in this world is 🆓 :(
Of course! Everything we offer for free takes a whole lot of effort and time from us 💙
Great advice from my college writing mentor who predicted I'd be published, win prizes, and have a long career: "Read everything!"
Love that advice indeed 💙
