Before you dive into Justine’s critique below, I’m delighted to share we’re open for free submissions for just one week, but it’s gotta be a review or a critique. Our general guidelines remain as usual, but I’d like to reiterate that please for fuck’s sake don’t send us AI-generated slop because if you do I will stab my eyes out and you will be responsible for my death and then I’ll come haunt you it’ll break my heart and waste my time, and I don’t get paid enough for this shit and just…it’s fun to critique stuff, for real, or review something you love, or like Justine’s doing below, respond to what others are saying in a way that functions as hybrid critique-review-essay, but all you all human.
We pay $50 for short-form reviews and $200 for long-form. And response time is generally 4 months but I’m going to try to be quicker about it this time.
I’m particularly hoping to get reviews of books and movies no one is talking about or not a lot of people have started conversations on, I’d also love to read cool list-form reviews and recommendations.
